Ahoy, fellow voyagers! At Setsail, we're all about charting new territories. Our latest voyage has led us to the shores of B Corp certification. This exciting milestone was celebrated with a lively Happy Hour event on June 29th at our WeWork Burnaby office.

The event was a deep dive into the world of sustainable business practices and corporate social responsibility. It featured a panel discussion with business leaders at different stages of their B Corp journey.

Our Head of Communications, Alfred, took the helm as the host. He steered the discussion with Michelle Reid from B Lab, Jason, our founder and principal, Sam from DOST Bikes, our very own Tom, CEO of Setsail, and Josh from Herbaland.

Michelle Reid from B Lab kicked off the journey. She provided an enlightening overview of the B Corp certification, its importance in the modern business landscape, and the support B Lab provides to businesses seeking certification.

Jason, our founder and principal, shared his contemplations about incorporating B Corp principles into his startup, Leagent. His insights provide a unique perspective for startups considering setting sail on the B Corp journey from the outset.

Sam, the CEO of DOST Bikes, shared his experiences from the early stages of B Corp certification. His fresh experiences provide a unique perspective on the initial stages of the B Corp voyage.

Our CEO, Tom, discussed Setsail's journey towards B Corp certification. He talked about the changes we implemented in our operations, the impact on our brand image, and how it has influenced our company culture.

Finally, Josh from Herbaland, a company that has been B Corp certified since October 2022, shared his insights. He discussed maintaining the certification and its impact on their marketing efforts.

As we docked at the end of our discussion, we were left with a sense of inspiration. We felt a renewed commitment to our mission as a B Corp certified company. We're excited about the future and the role we can play in creating a more sustainable, inclusive, and impactful world.
